How many kinds of mobile phone batteries are there?
Nickel cadmium battery: composed of two pole boards. One is made of Nickel and the other cadmium. The two metals make reversible response in the battery, so it can be recharged. It's most characteristic is strength and long communication time.
Nickel hydroxide battery: It's also called environmental battery, because it contains no cadmium and it won't pollute the environment. It's electric capacity is about 30% or 50% larger than a nickel battery. Therefore, the communication time of mobile is 30% longer.
Lithium ion battery: It is a battery of energy highly-condensed. Comparing with a Nickel cadmium or Nickel hydroxide battery in the same size, it's lighter and much larger in electric capacity. A lithium battery is also a Capacity battery and it can talk with a special Capacity charger, reaching the shortest charger time, the longest longevity and the largest capacity. Also, because it's Capacity, it is picky. The lithium battery may not be fully charged or reach the longest lifecycle.
How to use and maintain the battery?
You should confirm some basics: the character of the battery. (Nickel cadmium, nickel hydroxide or lithium battery), the capacity marked ( if i'ts milliamp, require the dealer to confirm that the capacity marked is complied with the actual capacity.) In a word, don't be clouded with the feint “This is the original battery” when you buy a battery.
A new battery can not reach the largestcapacity at the first several charges and discharges. It must be charge and discharged for some more times before it reaches the largest capacity.
Use the special charger.
Don't charge at counter pole. It may cause expanding or explosion of the battery.
Do not make the positive and negative poles of a battery of the mobile phone touch with metals. Put the battery away from metal and place of high temperature to avoid short circuit. If possible, put in a small bag.
When charging the battery, don't put the charger near a TV.
Nickel battery also discharge itself. At normal temperature, the normal flow of electric of a nickel hydroxide battery is 1-3%. Recharge a nickel hydroxide battery which doesn't work for several weeks after charged before you use it.
A nickel hydroxide battery has no memory effect, so you don't have to wait until it is completely discharged before you recharge it. Besides, note that there is some electric in a new battery since a normal factory would always check the electric capacity before it is leaves the factory.
What is in a mobile phone battery?
When you open a mobile phone battery, you will see that the inside structure of the battery is actually not complicated: Only several pieces of No.5 or No.7 battery in series and one more circuit or switch. It's so simple. Take standard 6V nickel hydroxide of Model398 Erreyson for example, it is series-connected with 5 single nickel hydroxide charging battery of 1.2V or 4 of the same but 1.5V battery by a special circuit. It is also equipped with hit protect circuit in the shell of the mobile phone. That's what we see today, mobile phone batteries. |
